Cont.  Section 5 - Fire Fighting Measures

Extinguishing Media:  Us foam, carbon dioxide or dry chemical.  Use of water may cause fire to spread due to components that float on water.  Acetone/water solutions have flash points when the acetone concentration I greater than 8% (by weight).  The fire point, which is the percent by weight when a solution sustains a flame, is higher than that.

Special Firefighting Procedures:  Wear self-contained breathing apparatus (pressures-demand, MSHA/NIOSH -approved or equivalent) and full protective gear.

SECTION 6 - ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Eliminate all sources of ignition.  Provide adequate ventilation.  Flush wit water to a tank or an open well-ventilated area.  Absorb or remove to a container and dispose of properly in conformance with local regulations.
