Excel-Coat F/S Data Sheet

Fire System-Heavy Duty Pedestrian Traffic Membrane

ICBO No. 4804

COMPOSITION:
The Excel-Coat Fire System is a “Class A”, one- hour fire rated, waterproof membrane composed of a cementitious underlayment and a fiberglass-reinforced, acrylic deck coating system.  The system is installed in two stages: installation of the metal lath and underlayment, followed by the waterproof membrane installed in three coats. The first coat provides a waterproof seal and attaches a fiberglass mat to the underlayment.  The second coat provides skid-resistant texture, and third coat seals in the aggregate to ensure a durable wearing surface.

BASIC USE:
The Excel-Coat Fire System is specifically designed to provide a waterproof wearing surface for exterior and interior pedestrian traffic areas where waterproofing and a “Class A”, one hour fire rating are essential.  It is ideal for walking decks, balconies and stairways. The Excel-Coat Fire System provides durable protection with ultraviolet light stability and allows for easy maintenance.  This system is also excellent for retrofit work.
