Stair Nosing Kit
SPECIFICATION:
The stair nosing is designed to protect the Excel-Coat system at the outside edge of the stair. The new stair nosing design allows the coating to cover the holes created by the screws used to attach the nosing.
PACKAGING:
Stair nosing is sold as a kit. The kit includes:

APPLICATION NOTES:
1) Drill holes 6" on center in a “W” pattern, guide lines are scribed on the aluminum for your convenience. Additional screws may be necessary on the back edge of nosing to prevent flexing.
2) Nosing should be installed prior to the base coat so the waterproofing
membrane will seal over the screws and holes. Set nosing into a bead of sealant prior to installing the screws.
3) Installed nosing will help prevent ponding on the stair thread. On enclosed staircases, leave 1/2" to 1" gap at outside edges to allow water to drain off stair.
4) Apply a bead of caulk at the edge of the fiberglass prior to texture and top coats.
